LipoSonix is a device that is used to reduce waist size and permanently get rid of fat cells. The device uses focused ultrasound waves to permanently disrupt fat cells selectively in problem areas. LipoSonix eliminates fat cells without surgery and has minimal downtime or side effects. For decades, people have tried hard to selectively remove fat from problem areas using injections, belts, exercise and several other cosmetic surgery techniques. Until now, liposuction was the only way to actually remove fat from a selective area, but now there’s LipoSonix.

What is better liposonix or CoolSculpting?

Now, as you got familiar with both Liposonix and CoolSculpting, the biggest difference between these two procedures lies in their working approaches. But there are a few other things to consider. Here is a comparative guide to help you make a wise decision:

  1. Liposonix is much more precise than CoolSculpting. It works in the smaller areas and reduces accumulated fat from those discrete parts of the body efficiently. On the other hand, CoolSculpting focuses on fat reduction from larger areas, which typically do not respond to diet and exercise.
  2. Liposonix is suitable for many parts of the body like arms, legs, and buttocks whereas CoolSculpting is limited to love handles, belly, and back.
  3. Liposonix proves to be much quicker a process when compared to CoolSculpting.
  4. The results of Liposonix are very significant but take time to appear while in CoolSculpting, the results are visible from the very first session and the reduction of 20% fat can be noticed within next 3 months only.
  5. Liposonix may require the person to take powerful painkillers an hour prior to the undergoing the treatment as it is a very painful procedure. But, CoolSculpting puts the patient at ease as she hardly feels any pain while she is through the treatment.
  6. CoolSculpting has its restriction in terms of treatment as the applicator part of the device needs to fit the region to be treated. Liposonix does not have any such restriction as it makes use of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).

Is there anything better than CoolSculpting?

SculpSure provides similar results as CoolSculpting, but at a more affordable price per treatment.

Treatment Areas: SculpSure can treat up to four different treatment areas at one time. In contrast, CoolSculpting can treat only one treat one area at a time. This make comprehensive body contouring with CoolSculpting a far more extensive, expensive and time demanding process compared to achieving a total body transformation with SculpSure.

Treatment Times: In addition to treating more areas at one time, SculpSure’s advanced technology provides shorter treatment times compared to CoolSculpting. With fast, 25-minute treatments, it is no wonder SculpSure is nicknamed the “lunch time lipo.”

CoolSculpting Side Effects vs. SculpSure Side Effects: SculpSure’s flat applicators do not require suction, unlike CoolSculpting, which uses a vacuum mechanism to attach the applicator to the treatment area. Bypassing this suction also eliminates many of the side effects associated with CoolSculpting, such as tenderness, redness, bruising, and swelling at the treatment site.

CoolSculpting Pain vs. SculpSure Pain: Flat applicators also make SculpSure a painless treatment. This stands in sharp contrast to CoolSculpting that can be painful for many patients who complain about the suction and sensation of extreme cold at the treatment site during the fat freezing procedure.

Downtime and Recovery: CoolSculpting is a more invasive technique for eliminating stubborn fat cells, and therefore requires a longer recovery compared to SculpSure. CoolSculpting side effects can persist for up to 2 weeks following the fat freezing treatment. In comparison, SculpSure requires no downtime or recovery and patients can return to their normal activities immediately after their laser fat reduction treatment.

Is one treatment of CoolSculpting enough?

After one CoolSculpting session, you can expect to see a 25 to 30% reduction in fatty tissue. Each visit may involve application of a variety of different applicators that fit the specific areas you would like to improve. Patients may begin to see an improvement in the treated area a few weeks after their treatment, but it may take up to four months before they enjoy their full and final results.

While every patient is different, most patients benefit from one to three sessions for each area of concern. We recommend that patients wait at least 60 days before retreating any area. Our dermatologists can work with you to design a customized treatment plan that will help you reach or even exceed your goals.

It’s important to understand that CoolSculpting is not a weight loss treatment. You can’t count on sessions to help you shed unwanted pounds. CoolSculpting is designed to help get rid of stubborn bulges of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. You should be at or near your goal weight before undergoing CoolSculpting, or if not, have a reasonable goal for improving a specific area.
