It is an expensive hotel for nothing. The breakfast was poor. Hotel workers were sitting in the yard and ate their breakfast and did nothing for serving. There was no wifi. There was no coffeemaker or teabag in the room

Excellent hotel, better than I expected. The pictures do not show how nice the rooms are. Everything is brand new, bed is big and comfy, shower/bathroom is great and rooms are spacious – really couldn’t ask for more! Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good (although could have more options of fruits and ham/cheese). Food at the restaurant (dinner) was good and moderately priced, although service was very slow in one of the days.
The only downside of the hotel is that it is indeed further from the Old Town than I expected (25-30 min drive). This is not a big deal if you have a driver/guide and is staying in town just for 1-2 days, but for longer stays it may be too time consuming commuting multiple times to/from the center of Yazd/Old Town. Anyways, it is a trade off of comfort vs location, because I don’t think the hotels closer to historical sites provide same level of comfort. For us it was worth it, but depends on each person
